Vacon opens office in Canada
The Finland-based AC drives manufacturer Vacon is establishing a firmer foothold in North America by setting up a subsidiary in Canada. The official opening of the office, located in Stratford, Ontario, will be celebrated on June 26. The inaugural speech will be given by Mr. Risto Piipponen, Finland's Ambassador to Canada.

Vacon to deliver two 4.6-MW AC drives for main propulsion units
The AC drives manufacturer Vacon will deliver via its global system integrator partner Imtech Marine and Offshore two 4.6-MW diesel-electric main propulsion drives to a Belgian high-tech fall pipe rockdumping vessel. This is the largest single order to date for Vacon's office in Belgium.
